A hit show La Soirée with cabaret stars from La Clique makes a triumphant return to London

La Soirée’s rave reviews are in!  With a line-up like this, it’s hardly surprising, but at the same time, it’s also impressive that they can keep the acts fresh as they run the risk of their show ending up as a rehashed version from the year before.  Will they make their way to Adelaide in the foreseeable future?  I am keeping my fingers, toes, arms, feet and eyes firmly crossed.

Hold on to your hats! London welcomes the stars from La Clique now in La Soirée.

The crème de la crème of twisted cabaret entertainers returned to London to perform in The South Bank Big Top and the season has already earned rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.

First seen together in Edinburgh, this troupe of performers have gone on to perform around the world conquering everything in their path: Paris, Sydney, Adelaide, Stockholm and New York have all fallen for their charms. They are thrilled to be returning to London, the city where they performed for sell-out seasons at The Hippodrome (where they won the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment) and The Roundhouse.

The line-up of performers that rotate nightly include the recent Edinburgh Fringe Award winner Meow Meow, Cabaret Decadanse with puppet feast for adults, Miss Behave, the last female sword swallower in the West, NYC’s bravest burlesque duo The Wau Wau Sisters, Aussie acrobat act The English Gents, Irish songbird Camille O’Sullivan, Ursula Martinez of the strip-tease magic fame, lycra-clad opera singing diva La Gateau Chocolat, the bathtub acrobat David O’Mer and the Swedish comic magician Carl-Einar Hackner plus many more.

With La Soirée you are promised more shocks than ever before with fantastic new acts as well as many old favourites. London is the place where audiences and critics fell in love with this crazy family of performers and they’re glad to be back!

Reviews

The Stage

For those of you who didn’t get to see La Clique at their residency at the Hippodrome, then this is your chance to see world-class circus antics with an anarchic, cabaret twist.

London Evening Standard

The exuberant international stars of last year’s award-winning entertainment La Clique are not the sorts to be down in the dumps for long, which is why their sparkling new show, celebrating the ongoing revival of the variety/cabaret genre, is just the thing to combat the gloom.

Pink Paper

The whole evening offers a quirky sense of fun, which is the true genius of a show like La Soirée. Sure, the cast can display unique levels of skill, but they also make it every bit as entertaining as it is impressive. All the performers have their own gimmicks and it’s astounding that they can appear so light-hearted about it all when actually there’s most likely quite a high level of risk involved, which we suppose makes it even more watchable.

East London Advertiser

The usual suspects, including a contortionist, hula hoop performer, acrobats and sword swallower take to the stage with plenty of energy and a little more imagination than your average circus eccentric.
