As mentioned previously in this post, the UK based performer Barb Jungr’s new album “The Men I Love: The New American Song Book” is now completed and is available for download.   CD will be out on March 8^th.  Pre-order your copy now. 

The 12-track album includes songs like “I’m A Believer”, “Night Comes On”, “You Ain’t Going Nowhere” and “Wichita Lineman”. This is her first album release from Naim Label with new sound, making it all the more exciting.  Rest assured Barb Jungr’s signature style is still very much present in the album…she still transforms songs like no other.

Barb Jungr is more than just a great singer. She’s one of the world’s premiere song stylists, drawing critical acclaim both sides of the Atlantic and famed for her inspired recasting of material associated with the likes of Bob Dylan, Jacques Brel, Nina Simone and Elvis Presley. Her latest album, The Men I Love, her first for Naim documents Jungr’s love of American popular song and its songwriters. I’m completely torn between downloading the full album now, or waiting until the album comes out.  I’m actually tempted to get both!
