The show was most a most inspiring and entertaining journey. Her comedic timing and stage presence were not a hair short of perfect!

I was lucky enough to see Toni perform on Sunday night. I just have to say, it was one of the most memorable performances I’ve seen.

A keen student of music theatre, I'd recently approached Ms Lamond for advice with my own show. Though she was generous enough to share her time, she made a point of saying, "When it comes to teaching, I'd rather show you than tell you".

If she set out to show young and old how to touch the hearts and wow the pants off of everybody, then Ms Lamond is no teacher, she is the master.

In her own legendary way, Toni shared intimate experiences of her own life through song and had the full house at Sugar Mill laughing til we cried. Her razor sharp wit and comic timing shone in her storytelling and original lyrics. (Her delivery of "No more Andrew Webber songs" had our couch full of twenty-somethings begging for more!)

The audience was laced with aspiring performers, hungry to soak up Toni's every word. I'm sure we all learned something about where we came from that night. As for the singing? Absolutely incredible. There was a power and warmth in her tone that I can only dream of sustaining when I am as seasoned as Toni. Quite simply there's nobody quite like her, and what an honor it was to witness this true queen of showbiz sparkle. Our group felt the need to give more than one standing ovation during the course of the evening!

To make the experience even more pleasant, Sugar Mill is a divine venue with loads of old world charm. There's good service and comfy couches, but I advise you to book ahead if you're after a table - we arrived over an hour early and still struggled to get a good position! We didn't mind giving up spot for the cast of Mama Mia though, and thoroughly enjoyed the guest performances of original material by some insanely talented young members of the cast.

How inspiring it was to see several generations of Australians share their take on cabaret in one fabulous night. Hats off to the fabulous Trevor Ashley for making it all happen. We love your work!

It was such a privilege to be able to see Toni perform! I was completely blown away by her presence on and off stage, and found that I couldn't take my eyes away from her for even a second. I have learnt so much from her performing wise, and she was such a great inspiration to me.
