Sing Us a song, You’re the Piano, Anne - Reviews from the web

From The Pun

…Edmonds is actually an accomplished funny gal. Known for her multiple roles in ABC Online’s “Tough at the Top”, she’s adept at creating characters which reflect the very real, very disturbing populace that make up a large proportion of middle Australia. Clever and cunning, her parodies are insighful social commentaries punctuated with slightly unhinged personal stories, and songs in which she has ingeniously replaced the word “man” with “Anne”. Comedy gold.  Edmonds combines these ditties with choreography which displays her natural ability for physical comedy.  It’s a style that harks back to early stand-up greats such as Phyllis Diller and Lucille Ball.

The space at the Butterfly Club allows for an intimate show, and great chemistry is achieved between Anne’s crazy antics and the audience. Edmonds show has already been selling out, so if you’re willing to put your life on the line, (if she takes a liking to you, she might follow you to your car – if you get on her bad side…your body may never be found) book your tickets now to avoid missing this talented nutcase.

From Aussie Theatre

Edmonds is a confident and charming performer with just the right dose of kookiness. Her views on life are always slightly left of field but not so much that conservative audience members would feel estranged from the show. This show really does cater to a broad audience.

Most cabaret artists know how to sing but sometimes their repertoire between songs lets them down. Edmonds manages to pull both with aplomb and to the delight and hysterics of the audience. She moves fluidly from one craft to another without a hitch. Hell, she can even play the banjo and dance!
