Lady Carol's Malady @ Leicester Square Theatre (London)
Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 9:44AM
Fresh from the Edingburgh Festival Fringe season, this intoxicating comedy singer Lady Carol brings her new show to London.
The sexy and luminous Lady Carol is one of the most unique and bewitching performers on the cabaret circuit today, melding helter skelter logic with her dark vocals and umimaginable covers. Expect possibly some of the most enjoyable renditions of Love is a Battlefield and Running up that Hill and you won’t be disappointed.

I love Lady Carol - such a polished performer.
I first saw Lady Carol at the 2009 Adelaide Fringe as part of the "The Company Of Strangers" variety show. She and her ukelele were the standout.
She returned in 2010 with her own show. I was curious to see her in this one-woman-show... could she handle the full hour? I'm so glad I secured a ticket - she surpassed all expectation, putting on a brilliant show!
Her unique yodel-like vocals are simply superb! Her segue stories are amusing, and her charm is infectious. If you haven't had the pleasure, make the time... fun guaranteed!
Rubina, that's when I first saw her, too. I found her voice almost hypnotic. I was fortunate enough to see her again at the Fringe show you are referring to this year, and I agree, she was great. Her quirky sense of humour was also in fine form!
Did you get her CD? I bought a copy and still listen to it often.
