The smash-hit show Liza (on an E) is back! Trevor Ashley was electric when I saw him at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival last year and listed his show as one of the highlights. This pure entertainment of an act has toured Australia and it’s Melbourne’s turn at last. He’ll be performing two shows as part of Midsumma Festival out of his busy schedule while he starrs in Hairspray.

Trevor Ashley, star of the hit musical Hairspray, channels the superb talents of Liza Minelli in this must-see show. He will have you laughing, crying and screaming for more as he channels Liza (plus some special appearances by her mother). After sell-out and return seasons across Australia, Trevor Ashley, currently starring as Edna Turnblad in the hit musical Hairspray, channels the superb talents of the iconic Liza Minnelli in Liza (On an E).
From her marriage to Australia’s song-and-dance darling, Peter Allen, to pill popping and her showbiz family, Liza dishes the dirt on her extraordinary life like you’ve never seen her before, accompanied by a big band, as she brings the house down with all her greatest hits.
This controversial show, which the Sydney Morning Herald called a “remarkable impersonation”, caused a huge scandal in 2009, when Liza herself came to town!
The critically acclaimed Liza (On an E) is a Premiere Event of the Midsumma Festival 2011, a “must see” evening that will have you laughing, crying and screaming for more as the supremely talented Ashley channels Liza (plus some special appearances by her mother).
