A Song - a story - a spotlight

The Gala Final might be over but Short+Sweet Cabaret people haven’t stopped celebrating! The overall winner Ruth Wilkin will be headlining Cabaret Live! in Melbourne this month. Other Short+Sweet contestants will also be there and they’ll all be re-living the fun and excitement of the last two weeks.

And that’s not all - the host and the cabaret diva Nikki Aitken has some great news - she’ll be presenting her new show When There’s Nothing Left to Say at the Melbourne Comedy Festival 2012 and recently performed a few songs from the show at Short+Sweet Cabaret. Watch this space for more details closer to the festival!

Cabaret Live! is an opportunity for emerging and established artists to perform to a discerning cabaret audience in a sophisticated and intimate setting.

Whether you want to realise a life-long ambition to perform or you are looking for a friendly audience to test out new material, Cabaret Live! welcomes all performers. 

Every month, one of Melbourne’s leading pianists will be in residence to accompany the singers.

Cabaret Live was founded at La Boheme, Adelaide in 2009 and has since been playing to sell out audiences– here’s what they had to say.

Please arrive before start time (9:30pm) to register – pre-registrations can be done online by booking a ticket as a performer. Click on the link below to make the bookings.
